First Doctor Visit

So the wait is over and it is official, I am 8 weeks and 6 days pregnant and the due date is December 11th. Casey and I went to the doctor this morning after waiting 4 weeks (felt like an eternity) and I absolutely love my doctor. I had already met her in January for my regular visit but meeting again with her today just confirmed that I made the right choice. Even though the nurse told us that she would not do an ultrasound, the doctor did one anyway, I guess she could see how excited we were. But it wasn't an official one, so we didn't get a print out. She even joked around with Casey and I saying "this 1 looks good and the other one...." too bad that we were still in shock that the baby looked like an actual baby on the screen to actually get her joke. She also was joking around and told Casey that she thought she could see something between the baby's legs because he said that he thought it was a boy, but I knew that you can't tell at this point. It really was amazing to see though! She said that the baby's heartbeat looks really good and it is measuring exactly as it should. After I saw her, they sent me to the lab to run some tests. I will see Dr. Sherman every 4 weeks, so June 3rd at 8:30am is my next appointment, we can't wait! Until then......off to the beach!
